So Unfair is inspired by conversations with many real engineers, and lots of reading.

We were also very inspired by conversations with Timothy Douglas, Emmanuel Oni, and Allan Rennie, amongst many others; and by the true story of William Kamkwamba, the Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. His book for young readers is beautiful – you can hear it read on YouTube.
